Experienced Barista
Currently accepting applications for a part-time barista position starting early April 2026.

Minimum 1 year working in a coffee shop. This includes working on bar pulling shots, executing latte art and regularly interacting with customers.
Having some general knowledge of specialty coffee – i.e. producers, origins, processing methods, varietals, profiles, brewing styles, extraction, roasters.
Live nearby and/or willing to relocate to the area.
Have availability to start training by the second week in April.
Love hospitality, problem-solving & being a team player.

Baristas at Bad Mother are generally self-managed. Once training is completed, the barista will be responsible for opening or closing the coffee shop solo. During peak hours, there is overlap with 1-2 other baristas on the shift.
Primary tasks include:
Always showing up on time with a positive attitude.
Ensuring espresso is dialed in consistently based on recipes & proper taste.
Following recipes for pourovers and menu of coffee drinks and teas.
Prepping and handling food.
Working collaboratively with other team members.
Great verbal communication skills and staying tuned in to the team’s Slack.
Keeping morale high and customers happy.
